CFC Financial services are sending emails to clients asking them to register with two retail contact points, due to a change in their business model. Thetwo retail contact points (agents) are Centsavvy and Investax. They will be closing the Kenyatta avenue customer service centre. Anyone received the email and what are the implications?

I wonder if CFC did a customer survey before rolling out the new model. If they did they would have found out that many investors have a distrust for agents. Loopholes for fraud and malpractice are just too many.

The hand of South Africans. More often than not, they get it wrong with the Kenyan market.

I really cannot understand what cfc management is thinking ?
Delegating such a vital part of the business to some make shift agents somewhere is a bad business plan .

I received their mail. thought it was a prank and decided to visit their offices before signing those forms. From now on, I stick to the online trading platform.

It looks like they have already transferred or fired the employees coz the office looks empty.

So it *is* cost cutting. Online trading platform is the only reason I'm with them otherwise this would see me move haraka upesi.

I also got the email. How do i trust my cash with agents. What is the legal relationship supposing I use the agents. Will cfc be liable for any misdeeds on the part of the agents or am I just on my own? These are serious questions.

If one uses ATLite does one still need these agents? The only physical contact I have been having with the brokers is when i need to be paid, otherwise the system can work for me.

@Gatheuzi that is where the problem lies. If CSFS is going to tell their customers to go to the Agents to be paid, if the agents are going to have access to clients' funds, then IKO CHIDA.
